Cornell
A unique young man, Cornell is fond of making witty comments and often finds humor where others do not. He is slow to trust others but once you have gained Cornell’s trust, he is loyal to a fault. Unlike many teens, Cornell likes to get a head start on his day as an early riser. Cornell is strong willed and opinionated about his world. He is not afraid to actively advocate for what he wants and will be upfront and honest about his feelings. Cornell uses his past experiences inform how he navigates situations, which allows Cornell to be very resourceful. Under his teen exterior, Cornell is sensitive, thoughtful and helpful.
High school allows Cornell to enjoy his many friendships. Friends can be the most important part of school, however when motivated, Cornell’s potential to perform well in school is seen. Cornell enjoys being outside riding bikes, walking and playing sports. His favorite sports include basketball and soccer. While he would prefer to be active, during screen time he will play video games, watch anime or funny videos online. When trying to please Cornell, offer him a good smash burger off the grill and a bucket of fries.
Maintaining his sibling relationships are important to Cornell, and the right family will support is connections to birth family. Cornell would like to be part of a family that are active and engaged with one another during outings and events. He will do well and prefers a family with pets, but will do best with a smaller family. The right family for Cornell will provide space and structure through trauma informed parenting. Cornell needs an unconditional commitment and parents that he can rely on during tough times.
