Ethen

Ethen is a kind, funny, and easygoing young man who describes himself as someone who enjoys taking life at a slower pace. He is great at making friends and takes pride in maintaining those friendships. Ethen has a wonderful sense of humor and enjoys spending time with others, but he is also perfectly happy enjoying some of his favorite activities on his own.

One of Ethen’s biggest strengths is his ability to cook. He especially enjoys grilling and is proud that he can make several meals on his own, including macaroni and cheese, sandwiches and ramen. He also enjoys anime, with One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Pokémon among his favorites. When he is not watching anime, Ethen might be playing basketball or soccer, enjoying a board game, playing video games or listening to music.

At school, Ethen especially enjoys math, science, and recess. His good attendance has even earned him certificates, something he can be proud of. Looking into the future, Ethen has big dreams. He would like to become a mechanical engineer and hopes to invent new cars someday. He knows that becoming an engineer means working hard and being smart, and he is excited about the possibilities that career could bring.

Ethen identifies as a Christian and enjoys celebrating Christian holidays. His heritage is also important to him. Ethen is half Caucasian and half African American, and he wants people to know and recognize this part of who he is, especially because others often assume he is Caucasian.

Ethen would thrive with a family who is loving, caring and committed to helping him feel safe, supported, and valued. When Ethen closes his eyes and pictures his forever family, he sees a family filled with love. He would benefit from a family who can provide consistency, structure, encouragement, and a strong sense of security. It is important to Ethen that his forever family supports his relationships and allows him to maintain connections with the important people in his life. Most of all, Ethan is looking for a family who will believe in him, encourage his strengths, and give him the opportunity to continue growing into the kind, funny, and talented young man he is meant to be.
